Al Feldstein

Al Feldstein may be best remembered as the editor of Mad Magazine – depending on what your primary literary interest were. Here at the EC Horror Comics Archive, we remember him best as an artist and writer who created pure unadulterated terror! (But, did you know: Albert Feldstein was also a painter of wildlife, nature and animal scenes? Yes indeed.)

Feldstein was an artist and writer who worked on most of the EC comics. His influence was pretty heavy in the world of Entertaining Comics, and we’re glad it was so – he did some awesome work! He started out doing stories (both writing and illustrating) but eventually he only did covers. (He was a busy man!)

If you want to get a wider sampling of the man’s artwork, there is an official site dedicated to Al Feldstein. Additionally, Classic Horror has a cool interview with him which any EC fan should read.
