Tales From the Crypt #40 (Feb/March 1954)

This particular issue of Tales From the Crypt happens to be the current example shown on the Wikipedia page. It’s definitely a cool comic, and include the following stories: “Food For Thought”, “Pearly To Dead”, “Prairie Schooner”, and “Half-Baked!” – all sure to corrupt young and old minds alike!
This is a great old horror comic with a wonderfully surreal cover.
It was submitted during congressional hearings in the 1950s as an example of a comic book that had no redeeming entertainment value and was also thought to be harmful to impressionable young minds. It was claimed that this comic, and other like it, were one cause of juvenile delinquency.
The original artwork that was used for the cover was preserved by William Gaines the publisher and now hangs on my living room wall.
